Woo Hoo!

It was Sister F's birthday today so we went early with a croissant and prosecco breakfast and very enjoyable it was too!
This was followed by present opening with more prosecco before we got ready to head down to our local village restaurant, The Hengist, for a celebration lunch.
As usual the service was lovely and the food was delicious. We started with a selection of homemade breads served with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and tomato tapenade. Mains was pan fried chicken with asparagus, purple vitelotte potatoes (not something I've had before) and a wonderfully deep gravy for me and Brother B and Sister F had fillet steak with handcut chips, flat mushrooms, watercress and plum tomatoes. Puddings were a fruit crumble with ice cream and a chocolate tart with chantilly cream. Being a greedy sod I had a bit of each! This was all washed down with a bottle of wine of course.
By the time we got back home we were feeling the effects of all that food - well that and the wine and prosecco - so an afternoon nap was in order. A lovely day! Woo Hoo!
Today's shot is of Sister F's birthday card because I had completely forgotten to get an image of anything else.
