Totara Valley

Its been a big day - travel, fun, sad and emotional.  Tonight I'm feeling rather drained.

I was away just after 9am out to Pleasant Point to collect oldTimer then off we went on what was called "View of the Valley" a fundraiser - Historical Buildings and Homesteads, Beautiful and creative gardens, converted Church and yards.  Five venues with quite a bit of travel between each place.  oldTimer and I only had enough time to visited four as we both had functions this afternoon.  The places were wonderful, all very different, the gardens to drool over with rhodo's looking amazing, the old limestone homesteads, the farm buildings and memorabilia all wonderful.  Each place an absolute gem.  Oh, and adding to all of that the rural landscapes were stunning.
This afternoon Doug and I had a funeral to go too.  Gay has been part of our Book Club Group for over 25 years, she lived in our district for the earlier years.  A beautiful service, a celebation of a life well lived.
I've quickly picked a phone photo for my blip as we're watching the final of our Black Ferns v England in the World Cup Womens Rugby final.
We certainly are the underdogs, with England having won their previous 32 games.  They're exceptional but our girls are pretty good too, or they wouldn't be in the final....right ?
Being played in front of 44,000 fans at Eden Park, Auckland.
My blip is one of the places we visited.
