Baking

A jobs day today although good friend Heidi joined us for lunch, Annie made a great leek and potato soup. Whilst I got a few jobs done this afternoon (including what must be the last mow of the year surely?), Annie was busy baking. The Christmas cake was the main job and my contribution was limited but I did get called upon for some stirring when it got to the very dense and heavy stage (pictured). It’s in the oven now and smells amazing.
