Terra Botanica

George Street in Perth has the best independent shops. This is a relatively new one called Terra Botanica, selling beautiful house plants, pots and also fresh flowers and outdoor plants. I am obsessed with house plants so have to limit going in. Next door to it is long established Richards the bike shop and next to it is our favourite bakery Casella and Polegato, where we were in buying the bread for the week and croissants for Sunday breakfast. It’s a treasure of a shop. Across from it is Provender Brown, a lovely deli which has an extensive cheese counter, great if you love cheese (I dont).. trying to support the independent shops as much as possible as it would be a tragedy to lose then. They bring much more to a high street shopping experience than the big chains.

We had our usual French breakfast at Tabou and it was buzzing! The two lovely Polish girls were working flat out serving and taking orders, all with a smile. A sign of how busy it was was the replenishing of croissants in the counter! With me having been a waitress many moons ago I appreciate good room work and clearing a table after delivery. Eyes everywhere :)

Up to mum with her shopping, taking a photo of Joyce one of her friends in the complex whom mum had taken a pic of with her iPad and Joyce wanted a copy of it to send to her family. I had looked at it last week amd it was blurry so Offered to take a proper one, which kinda didn’t go down too well with mum saying that her one was good and that Joyce had liked it…. eeek! Anyway, we got her into the lounge and got one, eventually. It’s like herding cats with the old folks. Patience is needed….

Did some gardening when back home, Cheryl next door said she is seeing the hedgehog in the grass in the evenings and I am happy to hear this as we don’t have a sniffer dog any more and her Fergie finds it in the evenings now it’s dark at night.

Enjoyed Strictly last night, best show for a long time. Not sure who my favourite dancer was but hopefully Sunday sees the end of the road for Tony!
