Children at Charlton parkrun

Children's TV star and fitness coach Joe Wicks has apparently encouraged children to take part "With Joe" in parkrun events for the annual Children in Need charity campaign. A group of around 30 from a nearby school came to Charlton parkrun today, and completed all three laps - I was funnel manager/number checker, and (just about) managed to keep them in order when they did a blanket finish.

Got out for a run myself earlier - doing an intervals session in Greenwich Park, my first run for almost a fortnight. Felt good to be running again.

My stepsister Sarah is visiting from south Wales. Once she'd arrived and had lunch, we took her on a gentle stroll through Greenwich Park, through Greenwich town centre, and then along the riverside. We stopped for a couple of drinks at the Cutty Sark on our way back. Great to see her - first time since before lockdown when we were still embroiled in trying to dispose of my Dad's house and contents, etc.
