Sunny Walk!

The sun was shining today and with no wind it was obvious we had to go for a walk. Where would the sun be shining?  We decided to walk along a nearby road that had the setting sun beaming on to it.
That sun is hidden in my picture, behind the electric pole on the right of the picture.
In our area the utilities company has been burying the electric cables for the last ten years. They are doing this to make the system more reliable, so a storm blowing down a few trees doesn't mean hours of power cuts. And they seem to have reached this road!
As we walked back to the car we passed a house where a guy had just popped out to put something in his car. Because we were there we nodded to each other and that was the start of a conversation. We spent an interesting 15 minutes chatting about how it was to retire, and to live in the countryside.
Dinner was delicious fish, cod and saithe, cooked by Jan, and mashed potatoes and carrots, cooked by yours truly.
Another lovely day to add to the list of lovely days that seems to be a mainstay of my life!
