Gone but not forgotten

Today we travelled up to the Midlands to meet a former close colleague for a long overdue lunch. It was super to catch up despite their family news being overshadowed by the acute sadness of an untimely bereavement.

As we joined the motorway there was a low loader on the hard shoulder of the on ramp. It carried one of the most powerful railway diesel locomotives : a Deltic. It was waiting for its escort vehicle. Sadly my attempts to retrieve this incongruous image of a train on the motorway from the dash cam has missed the Blip photo deadline!

With no other photos taken today because it was not a day for cameras, I took this kitchen view tonight. It shows our memento of the former iconic Edinburgh department store, Jenner’s with some of our collection of Polish crockery that we use everyday.
