Beach huts
Back blip 6
Sadly, time to pack our bags and say goodbye to the Harnser.
First stop of the day was Wells-next-the-Sea for a short but lovely walk on the beach. The sea was a long way out, there were very few people on the vast expanse of sand, and the beach huts were deserted.
Next a drive in to Norwich to meet Barry O'N, a long-time friend of MrM. Another ridiculously warm day, no need for jackets as we sat outside The Forum for lunch and a catch up.
Finally, a little later than planned, we headed for home - so we thought! But events, mostly traffic related, conspired against us! Heavy traffic, slow tractors, a garage that had run out of diesel, a bridge blocked due to an accident, diversions around roadworks... .
It had been a long day, and when it became obvious that we wouldn't get home until the middle of the night it was decided that maybe we should find somewhere to stay. I managed to get a late B&B deal at a pub in Richmond, and we got there just in time for a drink in the bar before flopping in to bed.
