Richmond Castle
Back blip 7
Woke to a beautiful mild morning after our unexpected night in Richmond, and decided to make the most of it. After a hearty breakfast (to keep us going for the rest of the day) MrM drove us to Round Howe, and we walked from there along the River Swale through Hudswell Woods to this bridge, which affords a good view of the castle. Unfortunately no time to go any further, so we walked back along the pavement.
Arrived home early afternoon, in time to unload the van and for MrM to have a rest before he set off to a party music session, an hour's drive away. Time for me to unpack and do a couple of loads of washing, and then have a long chat on the phone with Tom. Always good to speak with him.
Extra: Some fabulous colours in the trees.
