Arkadia residential
For today's wide Wednesday optional theme, I have chosen to blip organic architecture. In this context I am thinking sustainable, natural materials, curves, random elements, connection to the open space and plant life, good for people.
Half a million recycled bricks were used for this project, made all the more special because they were made at the brickworks on this site in the 1870s.
This development gets people together. The core units of residents have their own roof gardens with veggie patches and barbecues, allowing chance encounters. There's even a chook run and bee hives.
The photo shows some of the features at the heart of organic architecture. What I can't understand is what's Posh Spice doing here carrying a set of steps?
Thanks for hosting Steveng.
