The late, late anemone
Today started and ended with rain but otherwise was dry and pleasant.
We invited my mother's lovely neighbours in for coffee this morning.
This afternoon I went for a walk into the local small town and marvelled at all the plants still flowering in people's gardens. There were lots of roses, salvias, begonias, fuschias, daisies, a fine bottlebrush hedge in full bloom, and Japanese anemones. This one was flowering on a tiny stem in my Mum's garden. It still looked good despite all the rain over past few days.
