Today's the day ......................... to open the box

A visit to the Manchester People's History Museum today - purely for work purposes, you understand - a bit of research for a new display we're planning.

This free museum is the national centre for the collection, conservation, interpretation and study of material relating to the history of working people in the UK. As you might the imagine, the topics covered are quite complicated at times.

It was full of buttons to press, drawers to open, things to listen to, films to watch, clothes to dress up in, a pretend shop to buy stuff - and many pictures and stories of real people.

It was brilliant .........................
