Our second surprise gift

Today is the end of our time away to celebrate our special anniversary. And the boys had another surprise for us. No details, just be at a particular place at a specific time.

We checked out of our very tranquil retreat and headed straight to Brisbane, Archerfield to be more precise.

The boys told us to have something to eat before we got to the destination, so we did!

Got to the destination and realised that we might be going on a helicopter ride!!!! Ooo la la.

The pilot asked us if we knew where we were going and what we were doing, and we said we had absolutely no idea. So decided he wasn’t going to tell us either!

We took off and headed to what apparently was a winery. Couldn’t believe it. They’d booked a wine tasting for us at a place called Sirromet. Lovely spot. We had a great time tasting some bubbly and reds and whites. Didn’t try any dessert wines.

Then a short tour of the venue, vineyard, lavender fields, event rooms. Just great.

Back to the helicopter to bring us back to our car. Lovely experience and we are just so proud of the fact that the boys even thought to do something like that for us.

Then the drive up to the Sunshine Coast had some delays with traffic congestion getting out of Brisbane. And finally home to the boys and cats and a lovely dinner prepared by Jon.

Been a wonderful, well earned break … now to get ready for some guests and our party over the weekend.
