A fine specimen

Today we checked out of our hotel at Surfer’s and headed to the tranquility of the hinterland at Tamborine Mountain.

A rainforest retreat which has been a lovely way to end our little getaway. Lovely drive there and we were treated to some really beautiful jacarandas in full bloom. We had to stop and get a pic of this one. This picture doesn’t do this tree any justice at all, it was absolutely stunning!

Tomorrow we head home after the boy’s second surprise gift! Can’t wait …
