Face To Face

While planting out pak choi seedlings in misty conditions I discovered this female robber fly trapped in a puddle. I offered a gloved finger for her to climb on and she didn’t hesitate. She remained on my hand as I struggled to get the nitrile glove off my right hand, went inside to get my camera, fiddled with the settings and took photos. She was so relaxed that she began preening herself. See extra shot.
