Wet Friday
Picked up the daughter in the pouring rain at 9am and off we went to IKEA, via a stop at the dentist’s (first time in 18 months). The water was cascading off the fields and over the roads, but we got there. Take a photo, I kept telling the daughter. Blip gold, that sort of exciting stuff. Anyway, we got there and had an in depth perusal of their wardrobes.
Back home and there was blip gold out the bedroom window. Surf’s up in Wardie Bay! But we couldn’t dally - up to the Omni to see Living, with Bill Nighy. Some beautiful episodes, mostly steering clear of overdoing the schmaltz. And he did sing Rowan Tree rather movingly.
Onward! For twas the RSA Christmas Show. The Edinburgh middle classes getting their elbows out and getting to the front of that queue for the free mince pies and Peroni. I thought it was mostly pretty decent though on this occasion we decided not to purchase anything. The one that caught the SK’s eye was by Gordon Mitchell. A snip at £8K. Sadly, our walls are rather cluttered already...
