Winter trees

I noticed the trees looking very wintery when I walked down the road this morning.

Gordon has been away in Manchester for a meeting, so for the first time in a long time I had to walk down to the bus shelter to collect the paper. The box is always full on a Saturday - apart from there now being quite a few Guardian readers in the village and Saturday’s Guardian has several bulky supplements, many people buy the local paper the ‘Cumberland and Westmorland Herald’ and it is in two sections. It is heartening to see people still buying newspapers in this digital age. It helps to keep the professional journalists in work.

Gordon got back just in time for the Rugby - I think he missed the last session of the meeting!!
