Flaming Indian

My landlady (nonna) day before yesterday looked at the tv and said “what is this flaming Indian doing here?”. She was pointing to some brown skinned girl working at a bar up north of Scotland. She saw me and smiled almost a sly remark at me. I felt it was racist. Am I right to think that way? Is this how people perceive me as the ‘flaming Indian’.

Had fun in London after 6 hours of train ride in which tired to write a reply to some people but didn’t manage to finish my email, slept and ate at LNER cafe, which I had decided against.

London has been fun! I like the lights. It reminds me of Diwali. I went to flat iron for dinner yesterday night. It was nice, the steak was not that great though. Best part was the free ice cream I got in the end. So far, no one has called me a ‘Flaming Indian’ in Lodmon yet haha.

I am off to the tech job fair after breakfast today. Hopefully it will be okay, I have not been to any job fair ever before so have nothing to expect.
