This fairly new mural by Jo Peel and Mark McLure, on the front of APG Works printers, was livening up the Sheffield streetscape as I walked through on my way to some football at Bramall Lane.

Sheffield United Women were hosting London City Lionesses in a Women’s Championship fixture (Tier 2 of the women’s football pyramid). United have been holding a number of the women’s fixtures at Bramall Lane following the successful staging of the women’s Euros during the summer. There were over 10,000 in attendance today so that strategy seems to be working (extra). The last time I saw an equivalent home game (2020), United were staging games in Chesterfield in front of a couple of hundred people. It was the visitors who were in form today though, securing a two-nil win which took them to the top of the table.
