Love
Love is .....
..... enjoying being married to the same man for 45 years and in spite of all the 'ups and downs', enjoying his company every day.
..... enjoying being parents and knowing you did the best you could for your children and seeing them happy.
..... enjoying being grandparents and embarrassing your children with stories of when they were young, to the joy and delight of your grandchildren.
..... enjoying doing silly things with your grandchildren and not being "told off" for doing them.
..... enjoying being retired together but giving each other space.
..... enjoying the fact that each new day is a gift from God and living it to the full.
In fact, LOVE is wonderful and I pray we will have many more years together.
Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have.
Love doesn't strut,
Doesn't have a swelled head,
Doesn't force itself on others,
Isn't always "me first,"
Doesn't fly off the handle,
Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn't revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.
Love never dies.

The Message
P.S. The letter at the top left is from the Minister who married us, sent to us the day before our wedding and I must admit, it brought a tear to my eye when I read it again. Incidentally, we had no fancy Orders of Service, just one handwritten one for us and this blip is in black and white, because all our photographs were black and white!
