The blue sky has returned.

We woke up to another dark, dreary, wet morning.
Went over to see some friends for morning coffee and that cheered us all up.
Quite a bit of catching up to do as they have been over in Florida for a couple of months visiting their son and family.
However by the time we set off back home the sun had come out and the rest of the day has been very pleasant.

While MrC was watching the football I had a walk into the village and bought some presents and Christmas cards from our lovely village gift shop.
Unfortunately the business is up for sale. We are all hoping it will stay the same, but I have my doubts. Still you never know.

The fire is now lit and we are enjoying a glass of wine waiting for the cottage pie to cook, which we are having with boiled beetroot.
More comfort food.

Hoping tomorrow will stay fine for our walk with the Pudseys.
