POND, PRINCE ALBERT

I took the Book Club books round to a friend's house as she is hosting the event this evening. I could not resist this view of their duck pond.
The book that I plan to review is called "Country Driving" and tells of a Chinese road trip that the author Peter Hessler undertook. He obtainded a Chines driving licence and is very funny about the lenghty driver's exams that had to be filled out in order to obtain this document. The questions cover every kind of situation imaginable e.g.
356. If you give somebody a lift and realize that he left something in the car you should
a) Keep it for yourself
b) Return it to the person or his placce of work as quickly as possible.
c) Call him and offer to return it for a reward.
In the early 2000's the driving was still, shall we say highly individualistic. With the rapid urbanization I am sure this has changed.
