The Marne

We realise that it's a bit ambitious to think that we'll be able to blip-source photographs of all the actual locations mentioned in Lorna Lloyd's Diary of the war (previously blipped in full in the LornaL journal, and now available as a podcast series with Lorna's great-great niece playing her great-great aunt). Therefore we have decided to bend our rules a little.

Winsford took this shot of the Marne at Chennevières by Camille Pisarro for our journal. It ties to Lorna's journal entry of 11th September 1939 when she compares the Polish resistance to the Geman invasion to the Battle of the Marne. Thank you Winsford!
