A wet and windy day.
In the afternoon I drove to Samye Ling Tibetan centre with my friends Julia and Nathan. I had not been there for since before lockdown.
I had arranged earlier in the week to dedicate butterlamps in memory of my Mum. A German nun called Ani Wangmo had everything ready for the ceremony. We lit each candle saying a mantra. When 108 candles were lit Ani chanted a prayer.
It was lovely.
I brought an offering of flowers that I left in the temple.
It was lovely to see Ani Sonam , at reception. She is a lovely person who I had become friends with when she volunteered at The Rokpa Office.
The extras are The Stupa and the Butterlamp house .https://www.samyeling.org/visiting/sponsoring-butterlamps/
