Whatever the Weather
Sun was forecast, so we got out on the bikes. Down towards Haweswater and over the concrete road, through Keld and up to Shap. As we came across the moor, the wind was whipping and the rain was lashing down, but I was smiling from ear to ear. It was great to be out.
The image is a mashup of the wild moor above Haweswater, and a shadow I caught when the sun popped out on the way home.
I’ve heard it said (rudely!) of Shap as being part way between sh** and c*ap, but I like it for its grittiness and wild location, and it does good chips.
