Fairground Attraction

Today's the day ......................... to sing in the rain

The Christmas Lights were being switched on this afternoon in Castle Douglas.  And the choir that I sing with (SongWave), were one of the attractions keeping the public amused while everyone waited for the big switch to be pulled.

The only problem was the atrocious wet and windy weather today which caused a last minute change of venue from the big public carpark at the end of town - to the Cattle Market.  While Castle Douglas' Cattle Mart is large and very important to the town, it is maybe lacking somewhat in the sort of ambience you might wish for this sort of festive occasion?!

Nevertheless, it was a well-attended and busy event with lots of crafty things for sale - and a wide range of yummy food.  And, as you can see, Tessa and Josie's enjoyment of the fairground ride that was actually zooming round at high speed in the drizzle(!) was unabated ......................!
