Advent Begins
We had a very quiet day. My sister and I made an Italian Sausage Tortellini soup. I decided to stay with Sugar while the rest went to town. A friend and two of his children stopped by for a visit; glad I had stayed home. The crew returned soon after. My sister started prep for stuffing our corned pork tenderloin. She prepares the cabbage, kale and onions and our BIL stuffs and bakes the delicacy. Hubby and I got ready and headed to Mass. Beginning at 4 pm on Saturday, the Liturgy for Sunday is used. Father blessed the Advent wreath and this young man lit the first candle. As usual, Father gave a practical and inspiring homily; today’s theme was the many ways we can use our talents to spread the Good Word. We are heading home for dinner and then Kindle time with Sugar. Wishing you a quiet and enjoyable weekend. Stay safe and healthy. Thanks for dropping by. "It is the beautiful task of Advent to awaken in all of us memories of goodness and thus to open doors of hope." - Pope Benedict XVI (Joseph Ratzinger).
