Low Water Bridge
Jamie and family left around 6:30 am and safely arrived home close to 12:30 pm. No grass grew under Renee’s tires…. Everyone got up to wish them a safe trip but hubby and I have been dragging all day. After breakfast and showers, we headed to town for 10:00 Mass. The new priest is getting easier to understand. My sister and BIL took care of washing the linens and putting the house back together. We shopped after Mass. I found some great buys and picked up a few groceries for the week. We are having our Thanksgiving turkey today. We have so many sides from Thursday’s meal that we cannot justify making anything else. Hubby took a much needed nap why I put together my blip. This “low water bridge” is part of the WV state road we travel to get back up the ridge to my sister’s farm. We had rain for two days so there is water flowing over it. The state rarely cleans the debris that flows down the run and gets lodged under the bridge. We are getting more rain today. There have been times when the road is closed due to much higher water on the bridge. On the positive side, the main long road we use to get town has been repaired and newly paved. One down, two more to go. At least the view and peace we get when we journey here is worth all the pot holes. Looking forward to a few quiet restful days ahead. Hope you enjoyed your weekend. Stay safe. Thanks for the visit. “If you don’t go to very difficult roads, you will only reach places where everyone reaches!” ― Mehmet Murat ildan
