Light Walk

The painting is endless.  We got the first coat of the stairs and landing finished today.  Only another base coast then probably two coats of colour to go...

The late afternoon we had a wee treat and went to the RSPB site in Loch Lomond for their 'Illuminate RSPB' event this evening, where the reserve trails were lit up with electric candles and we got a hot chocolate by the fire.  I was super happy as their big bag of marshmallows were vegetarian.  We got to make a couple of lanterns to carry around and bring home with us.  A very plesant evening!

We did that stupid thing that you should never do in Scotland and didn't go dressed for rain.  The forecast was for dry all day, and we didn't intend to be long so I put my cord trews on and neither of us brought waterproofs, opting for big warm coats instead.  We were both really really sheepish as we crossed the Leven an in absolute downpour.  Lucikly it eased off for us once we arrived and it was a reminder that you should always prepare for rain.

Finished the evening in the Blue Lagoon for a chippy tea - they do a cracking vegan sausage supper.
