Christmas Shopping

Living so close to the Tunnock's factory means that I have some really easy Christmas presents this year.  Luckily we missed the worst of storm Arwen and it was only a little breezy this morning, so I got on the bike to head to Uddingston.  I am now the proud owner of 36 Teacakes, 18 Snowballs, 96 milk caramel wafers and 24 dark caramel wafers (guess what part of your Christmas present is mum!).  That's a chunk of Christmas shopping done! Spotted a fab buzzard hanging out on the pedestrian bridge en-route too, but wasn't quick enough with the camera for a blip.  We're blessed with numerous buzzards round here.

On the way back panniers full, I stopped in at Bothwell Castle - one of three castles within easy cycling distance. Unfortunatley it hasn't re-opened for visitors after initiallly shutting for covid but I'm hoping we can have a nosy round in the spring.

The recent bike commuting had really blocked up my chain, so I spent almost as long cleaning the bike as I had been riding it this morning, but it is looking tons better now.  Hoping for a skype with the family shortly to round off a productive day!
