and so it begins...

The first Sunday in Advent..a time to make the wreath which will hang on our door until Candlemas (2nd February). I went out first thing to collect some hollly and ivy from the garden. I already had the frame (an old wire coat hanger) from last year.

Our Christmas is very non-traditional in many ways; we start with a gathering of the family at the beginning of December. The first one to arrive this year is Sarah - Jess and I picked her up from the station this afternoon. 

We had Revithada (our traditional welcome-home dish) for tea, and spent some time catching up.
