Never a dull moment when Sarah is home! We were out all afternoon until light stopped play, gardening, tidying and sweeping...

We had decided first of all to remove a huge growth of ivy from the outbuilding which has just been re-roofed. Hopefully next spring it will be repointed and painted. We cut around the edges of the ivy and then pulled very hard..it came down in one huge, heavy sheet. Then Sarah went back up the ladder to cut the remainder from under the guttering - that's the last piece she is waving around triumphantly.

We have just had lime pickle rice, apple crumble and a nice glass of red wine to celebrate :-)
