Basildon

This morning we went to the National Trust's Basildon Park estate near Pangbourne in Berkshire to walk the spaniel. There are some splendid views of the Palladian-style mansion from the surrounding parkland. Apparently its recent claim to fame is as the set for Downton Abbey, something I've not seen. I hope to visit again at some point to have a look at the interior.
