Another out of use tower

On the M6 near Lancaster is Forton Services. Built in the 160s it contains this tower now closed due to safety concerns. It was called The Pennine Tower, and originally housed an up-market restaurant and a sun deck. The tower was designed to resemble an Air Traffic Control Tower and is a prominent local landmark. On a gloomy evening and without the Costa signs it could be in the former East Germany.
