Happy Thanksgiving!

After a latish night last night, we were a bit late getting going this morning. It was another beautiful day, and we were going to have our big meal in the evening, so the four of us went hiking at Red Top Mountain State Park, on Lake Allatoona, leaving Jason to it in the kitchen - which is the way he likes it. As yesterday, this was the other side of the city, and a bit further out, but being Thanksgiving, the traffic was much lighter. It was a little over a 4 mile hike, offering some nice views of the lake. When we got back, we played a game before dinner. One thing about Thanksgiving at Jen and Jason’s is that it will never be the traditional Roast Turkey, as Jason isn’t over thrilled about turkey and prefers to do other things - so today was Rack of lamb, with au gratin potatoes and roasted Brussels, followed by two delicious desserts, chocolate pecan pie and cranberry pomegranate mousse pie. Huge thanks to Jason for all his hard work - everything was delicious!
