Decorator started today- hurray! He is doing the hall, stairs and landing. I am having trouble choosing the colour for the walls - not like me at all! I pulled up all the old carpet and underlay before he arrived and took it to the tip later in the morning - so nice to get rid of the last remnants of the very rundown nature of the house when I first bought it. Did lots of things off my list for the rest of the day, including ordering the Christmas turkey. J called me earlier in the day- he wants a fresh one for a meal he is hosting for his friends on 17th but everywhere he had tried wasn’t getting any in until 18th at the earliest. My local butcher can get him one though- it pays to stay local!
Rather liked this arrangement of decorator’s tools etc in the hall - an alternative still life perhaps!
