Maranatha.
The Feast Day of St Brendan of Birr.
It was very foggy this morning.
The fog cleared and it remained bitterly cold.
The Starlings fed well.
I feel blessed to have not needed to go outside.
I am studying the life and achievements of King Saint Oswald of Northumbria, who reigned just 8 years and converted many pagans to Christ Our Lord's Kingdom. He is now my most loved male saint. An icon is in the post from E Bay. I couldn't find a holy King Saint Oswald medal, yet.
I came from Shirley, Croydon, to teach in Oswaldtwistle many years ago. The town there is named in honour of him. I found the name difficult to say at first and knew little about this great English Christian King and Saint. I am not writing a book as such, just bringng together notes on as much of relevance I can find.
If you live near a church dedicated to St Oswald, I would be interested to know more.
Thank you blip friends for dropping by.
