Lit by streetlamp

Nothing much to report today. Heartened by England’s second half performance to beat Wales. I don’t enjoy watching the National sides playing live whatever the sport, so we went out walking and spotted this rose nicely lit by a distant street lamp.

I did have an enjoyable hour or so FaceTime with my old school friend John who recently moved to Salisbury thus moving away from the area we’d both lived in for over 40 years. A good way of keeping in touch as we’ve been friends since 1965.

Susan went to see her mum this afternoon as we’re travelling to Edinburgh tomorrow, by train, for a Scottish family pre Christmas get together at the weekend. I wrote cards, researched places and generally tied up some loose ends.

Had mackerel for lunch again today. No spike, nor spike for dinner.
