The thing with learning disabilities is that normal, easy everyday tasks are not always normal or easy.

My son finds change difficult. All changes. He is learning to be independent and earns some cash by feeding our neighbours cats when they are away. He has learnt the routine and the cats love him.

Today I went in with him because the biscuits were in a different box. Something small like that can really throw him. He coped really well and I was so proud of him.

The cats really like him feeding them. He thinks they like his trousers.
