Black Swan
Today's challenge was "Treasured" - more difficult than I had assumed initially. Everyone who sort of follows my blips knows that I treasure my family and pets more than anything, however I wanted to go a day without people or pets in my pic.
This little plastic swan I used to play with at my grandparents' house when I was a child. No visit passed without me getting it out. It's got a hollow at the bottom and a glass cygnet you can take out.
My grandfather from Munich was a wonderful person and an evolutionary biologist with a big liking for water fowl - which was passed down to me when he passed in 2004, along with a complete series of Grzimek's animal life enzyclopedia (which is so old that it still has thylacine in it) and this black swan.
It's definitely one of my most treasured posessions.
