Twilight Westonbirt

The colours are still there, if you look. Most of the deciduous trees are showing their winter faces now, although if you wander behind the conifers you can still find a few holding onto their autumnal finery. The afternoon had faded into twilight when we came across this pair, in gold and peach. It's been foggy all day on the Cotswold escarpment, but here in the arboretum even at twilight you can still see the wood for the trees.
