Red Alert

I was very excited this evening when a red Aurora alert popped up on my screen and I rushed out to gaze skywards, only to get a raindrop in my eye! The whole sky is a blank because it’s covered in cloud and the hour by hour forecast shows no change for more than 24 hours. It’s so disappointing! We have had lots of minor alerts in recent weeks but to get a red means there is a really good chance of seeing the Aurora…………as long as the sky is clear. :-(
