Edna’s Bird House
Another gray day but we welcome the rain. It has been terribly dry this fall and the water table is down. The wind was heavy today and we lost power of course. We got a dab of hominy snow as well. Folks in the southern U.S had tornadoes. With my sister’s help, I cut up all the leftover turkey and made a wonderful soup plus a bowl of turkey salad for sandwiches. We also prepped the veggies for tonight’s roast. After lunch, we read and napped. Hubby did a load of clothes before reading. Our BIL worked on strengthening our cell signal which helped him and my sister who have AT&T but hubby and I saw no improvement. That situation is both a curse and a blessing. We aren’t glued to social media/news but it stinks that I cannot make a phone call. I’ve been fortunate to publish my blip but the signal does not last and I have had to start over a couple times. My sister made this adorable bird house of our neighbor for Christmas. Wrens nest in her begonia. We are hoping they will find this cozy house more attractive. Another great day on the farm. My Grandson just sent me a picture of the sunset near our home. It was breathtaking. He was visiting the kitties. Hoping your day was as nice. Stay safe and healthy. I am always reading that some of you have COVID or flu. Nasty stuff. Thanks for stopping by. “True friends are never apart, maybe in distance but never in heart.” — Helen Keller
