Handmade about 50 years ago

Here it is, a mystery see.
The Christmas calendar my mother made for us, her children in the 70s. One more precious treasure I have been cherished. That time there were more magazines meant to the mothers at home, although our mother was working too, that had for example needlework instructions. This Santa was one of them.

Now later in my life I have begun to use it too. No matter that I and my Mr are adults, childishness does good to everyone, doesn't it. The simplest "surprises" to put on are of course goodies. However, one year I even hung Christmas jokes on the Santa. My Mr didn't laugh at them much, maybe he just didn't understand my great jokes;) But he knows chocolate well:)
