Bohnen

Another boring, food related blip - I can't enjoy the high life of going out every day so you'll have to make do with this.

These are rosecoco beans and they have a lovely taste and texture. They are also known as borlotti beans or cranberry beans. Here they were on the way to featuring in a chicken tagine which also includes dates and preserved lemons. This melange went into the slow cooker at lunchtime and I'll shortly spin up some couscous to go with. 

Otherwise, another busy day tempered with the disappointment that it's not Friday, but greatly brightened by an unexpected call from my largest child. She was on a train, waiting for it to leave Picadilly (Manchester), and we had a lovely chat about all sorts of stuff including football and Christmas plans.
