The first day of winter
Today is officially the start of winter according to the meteorological calendar (unless you prefer to use the astronomical calendar then it will be on 21 December) and today was befittingly very cold with fog that lasted all day.
I find it quite hard to photograph fog, it's either unappealing with a cold blue light and blurry, or you can't quite capture just how dense it is. I liked the colours coming through the fog in the woods.
I had a busy day with errands - laundry, walking Xena, grocery shopping, and I also got rid of two smaller camera bags that I don't use - one I gave to a young girl in our camera club, and the other, which is much newer, I sold to another camera club member - I offered to drop off both of them at their respective houses and as they don't live in the same area, I was driving around a bit doing the drop offs today.
After the crap week with all the house problems I got an email today to say my Paypal account has had a suspected fraudulent payment coming out of it for an amount of about £700 - I phoned the number they gave me but it was at a call centre of a non English speaking country and I could not understand what the person was saying, and then the line just went dead - tried again and could not get through - I think I resolved it by going into my account on the website, I hope I have as I don't fancy being scammed for that amount of money. Despite trying to always be kind and helpful I am having very bad karma at the moment!!
We are going to Norfolk again tomorrow, it will be out last visit until January. I cooked a chicken casserole to take with us for supper tomorrow night - I cooked a larger portion as Adam is sleeping at home in Surrey tomorrow night as he is going to a wedding nearby on Saturday, and I wanted to have some dinner ready for him when he gets here late tomorrow night after work.
I was very sad to hear of the death of Christine McVie. I love the music of Fleetwood Mac, I had Rumours on vinyl when I was at school and it was the first CD I bought when CD's first came out. I was fortunate to see Fleetwood Mac when they performed at Wembley in June 2019, and she could still deliver such an incredible performance.
