Les Thermes

The thermal spa is now closed for the winter three months which means that the village goes very quiet. When it is open it provides the economic lifeblood of the village as those taking treatments usually stay for three weeks and obviously make use of the shops and services. I felt well enough to go down to tennis practice today but I thought it would be a gentle mixed doubles. The ladies did not turn up so I ended up playing 45 minutes of men's singles. That was quite enough. I came home to do some more paperwork both for the church and personal admin. I seem to spend far too much time pushing virtual pieces of paper around but institutions both here and in the UK seem to make more and more demands for proofs and verifications. I am sure life used to be simpler!
