Gently down the stream

Today

Today I met my favourite birding mate in the reserve.  She told me much more about the resident kingfishers than I'd known, she really is a dedicated expert and produces fabulous images.

In return I showed her where the mardarin duck is living, which tickled her.  It was a lovely meet up.

However, due to talking a lot, and our shared love of the robins, I didn't manage to take many shots.  So with a clear sky tonight I opened the bathroom window and shot the moon - and I'm really pleased, it's the clearest and best focussed one I've managed.  (I have difficulty because neither of my tripods are really strong and sturdy enough to stabilise the big lens properly).

So there we are.  Nothing much else today, I've had the house to myself and have taken full advantge of the chance to be lazy.  After my long day yesterday I think that's justified ;))

Enjoy your evening and the weekend  xx
