Merry Morrismas

It was the grand lighting up of the Chobham Christmas tree this evening at Benham's Corner. It's a much grander tree than in previous years and the lights were turned on by "real" TV celebrities although I must confess I hadn't heard of two of them but did recognise the name, Claudie Blakley. The Chobham Morris kicked off proceedings with some fine stick work and then we were serenaded by the Chobham Rock Choir. The mulled cider, dispensed at the nearby Chobham museum with a mince pie, added to the warm glow induced by the event on a cold, clear December evening as the peak hour traffic passed by.
