Colliding Cultures

Maybe not colliding exactly, but always interesting to see folk you know in one culture fitting into a totally different one, especially without a common language. But lots of love smooths the way.

Gratefuls:
- totally hassle-free flight
- Mike L picking us up at the airport (wow, the cold was fierce as we left the plane)
- the way Sam and Deb have arranged Paul's room for Ermelinda and Cecílio, looks so tidy and cosy
- lunch at Quinto, and a wander through Sutton Centre
- time with Zion and Allegra
- the wonderful dinner Sam cooked for us, with a finale of pistachio and white chocolate cheesecake (one of my favourite desserts)
- this absolutely gorgeous room for us at Geoff and Hélène's, feel like I'm in a French chateau!
